UK-based companies and organisations are being encouraged to look at the opportunities to tap into EU funding for research in the field of ICT at two events being organised in July.
The first, on 6th July, will look at the funding available under the EU?s eContentplus programme which aims to make digital content in Europe more accessible, useable and exploitable. A call for proposals under this programme is expected in late June, with a closing date in October.
The second event, on 18th July, will explore opportunities under the EU?s new programme for ICT research under its umbrella R&D programme (known as Framework Programme 7 ? FP7) which should be launched towards the end of the year. The Commission continues to be keen to see increased involvement of smaller companies in its R&D programmes and the event will include a look at the new ? and hopefully simplified ? rules for participation.
Both events will take place at the DTI Conference Centre in Victoria Street, London. To find out more and to register, visit the Events section on the following website: http://fp6uk.ost.gov.uk/Page.aspx?SP=1090 or contact your local EIC
