Electronics Yorkshire is continuing its programme of invaluable support for electronics companies across the Yorkshire and Humber region by organising a series of introductory training courses helping non-technical staff to improve their understanding of electronics.

The ?Introduction to Electronics? courses are being held at Electronics Yorkshire?s training centre in West Park, Leeds on Friday 24th October and again on the 7th and 21st November.

These one day courses, which form an integral part of Electronics Yorkshire?s full electronics training programme, will provide attendees with essential information regarding many of the components used in electronics, as well as aspects of production techniques and constraints. In addition, the courses will explain some of the tools and equipment used in the electronics manufacturing process, aspects of design and build criteria, together with providing attendees with the opportunity to build a working device.

Peter Burnley, training centre manager at Electronics Yorkshire said: ?These courses should be of interest to companies with non-technical staff who would gain significant benefit from a better understanding of electronics. The course forms part of our comprehensive programme of training activity focused on supporting the growth of the electronics industry throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region.?

Electronics companies interested in sending staff on any of these courses should contact Electronics Yorkshire on 0113 274 4270 or visit the courses section of their website at: www.electronicsyorkshire.org.uk

Electronics Yorkshire, based at West Park in Leeds, is a not-for-profit organisation supported by Yorkshire Forward, the Learning and Skills Council and European Union ERDF and ESF.
